Advertising stickers on vehicles – a trusty old advertisement method

Advertising stickers on vehicles have been used for a very long time, but this method is still very efficient, especially for smaller companies, as it involves mobile advertising surfaces that road users cannot avoid paying attention to, even from a traffic safety perspective.

The advertising sticker on a vehicle is basically like any other advertising sticker, with the exception that is has been placed on a vehicle. An advertising sticker can cover the entire vehicle or some parts of it, for example, only the windows or sections under the windows, and it will be printed with colourful, attention-grabbing colour graphics. These stickers are made of durable vinyl and usually remain presentable for three to five years.

 

Using advertising stickers can benefit businesses of all sizes. Even if your company has ads on just one vehicle, it will still get noticed and add reliability to the brand when driving to carry out work or when parked in front of the office. Additional vehicles will, of course, increase how noticeable your ads are, but this isn’t because one vehicle isn’t seen, but just because there are more vehicles on the move. For example, it has been calculated that outdoor ads cost an average of EUR 3.56 euro per 1,000 views and newspaper ads cost an average of EUR 19.70 per 1,000 views. Depending on the vehicle’s route, one vehicle can get 3,000 to 8,000 views a day.

 

There is no data on ROI of vehicle advertising as it depends on the type of company, route of vehicle, time of day and the effectiveness of the design used for the advertising stickers. But there is a way to measure your income. For example, you can get a separate phone number that is only displayed on the advertising stickers on vehicles. Or you could advertise a specific discount offer only on vehicle ads. Or create a separate landing page the URL of which is only used on vehicles.

 

But what’s really important – as with any advertising channel, the customer’s goals, target audience and specifics of the vehicle (how fast the vehicle generally drives, is it mostly parked or on the roads) have to be taken into account when creating the advertising sticker. The overload of information can lead to a situation where practically nothing is noticed.
